We are an unlikely pair: one blonde that knows nothing about beer except what she likes (that’s CJ), and one that can talk and listen for hours about how to craft a great brew (that’s Marisa). Together, we plan on exploring the world of beer and sharing it with like-minded people who enjoy beer, travel and interesting tidbits of information that may or may not be related to beer. Since CJ is also an artist, there will be a do-it-yourself craft section about cool things to make out of beer caps, beer bottles and found objects along her way. Marisa will provide the knowledge base for those of you out there that really want to talk beer. And she might even teach CJ and our readers a thing or two along her way. We are located in San Diego, but Marisa travels a lot for her job, so will be checking out breweries across the country. If you would like to send us samples of your beer, we would be happy to blog about them. And if you are in our area, please join us for a pint.

Hey, Elisa! We would love to take you up on that. I (Marisa) may actually be in the SF area in March or April on leave, and I’d love to have someone to show me around the beer community there. Please send contact info to misseuphonium@gmail.com and we’ll go from there. Looking forward to hearing from you!

Found your site randomly, I’m in South Orange County and we like beer! (although I know nothing of it) I saw the post on Claremont and my aunt lives there and I grew up in Covina…so, I stopped to read! We enjoyed visiting the brewery in Bend, OR. (Deshutes) so I felt a connection. Also:

I see these bottle caps, and my niece (in AZ) has a couple of bars donate their caps to her. The ones that are twists or not dented, she spray paints a solid color and then paints bees or something on top, or adds jewels and such. Then, she has a metal hair clip that the bottle cap simply adheres to…1 clip and you can change out several bottle caps. I think she does necklaces too.

It’s really unique and interesting. It’s a hot thing at her Jr. High, and she had her first “faire” or “boutique” and is doing well.

Well, I’m subsribing to your blog. Let me know when you are visiting OC as I’d love to meet ya!
